BRAMCOTE CREMATORIUM - OPEN DAY - Sat 6 Sep 2008
|
Bramcote Crematorium is holding its fourth Annual Open Day on the 6 September 2008 between 11.00am and 3.00pm. The event is aimed at dispelling any myths or concerns people may have about the facility and enables relatives and friends to look around the premises in a relaxed and informal way. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The crematorium employees will be on hand to give guided tours of the premises, explaining the systems and procedures used in the daily routine of the crematorium, including the MP3 format Internet based "Wesley Music" System that provides the varied and detailed musical requirements of many of the services.
Joining the crematorium employees will be local funeral directors, clergy and representatives of other support organisations, all of who will have displays of information and advice available. Stephen Foley, Managing Director and Calligrapher from the Hilton Studio will be on site giving demonstrations of the calligraphy used in the Books of Remembrance. Visitors to previous open days commented: "Very re-assuring." "I was so relieved to find that the service was so professional." "I had no idea of the complexity of the procedures and laws." "Nice to know you are cared for by such lovely people! "
Conducting an average of 3000 cremations a year, Bramcote Crematorium is one of the busiest in the United Kingdom and over the years has embraced many of the latest developments in technology and procedure, in its endeavour to meet the needs and expectations of the people who use it.
Bramcote Crematorium is of a contemporary design and set in 18 acres of landscaped grounds, the Crematorium is jointly managed by Broxtowe and Erewash Borough Councils. There will be light refreshments available throughout the day and further details can be obtained from the Crematorium Office.
