Sainsbury's recalls batch of own-brand Strawberry Pencils - 07-09-2008

Sainsbury's has recalled a batch of its own-brand confectionery product Strawberry Pencils, because pieces of metal have been found in it.

The store has recalled the affected batch from sale. Product recall notices are being displayed in stores, which advise anyone who has bought the product to return it to their nearest Sainsbury's store for a full refund.

The product being recalled is:

• Sainsbury's Strawberry Pencils (75g)
• Best before end: July 2009
• Batch codes: L-H 8213-3

No other Sainsbury's products are known to be affected.
