Co-op recalls sliced cooked turkey breast - 04-07-2008

The Co-op has recalled some sliced cooked turkey breast because of contamination with low levels of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria is a bacterium that causes food poisoning. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.

The Co-op has carried out a product recall and will be displaying point-of-sale notices in all stores that sell the product, explaining why the product has been withdrawn. Anyone who has bought the affected product can get a full refund if they call the Co-op's customer relations team on freephone 0800 0686 727.

The product being withdrawn is:

• Co-operative Sliced Cooked Turkey Breast
• Pack size: 125g
• Use by: 3 July 2008

No other Co-op products are known to be affected
