Police in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a hairdresser in London Road. The incident occurred yesterday (Thursday 8 May) between 3.15 and 3.30pm. The offender entered the premises and asked a member of staff if he needed to make an appointment, when he was told yes, he went to leave. When he reached the shop counter he dived over it and grabbed the cash box containing an amount of cash before leaving the store and jumping on his pedal bike. The offender dropped the cash box, spilling the contents onto the pavement. He then grabbed some of the money and cycled off in the direction of Claremont Road. He is described as a white, 20 to 25-years old, 6ft tall, thin build, dark brown cropped hair, wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, grey hooded top with ‘Nike Air Max' written across the bottom at the back and blue tracksuit trousers with two white stripes up the legs.
