Health and social care bosses in East Renfrewshire will be on hand at Eastwood House this month to hear local views on services for older people. For managers and staff from the East Renfrewshire community health and care partnership have organised an evening event on Thursday 23 October at Eastwood House, Giffnock from 6 to 8pm. Health and social care convener, Councillor Douglas Yates, said: "Our local services bring together local social work and NHS services in a unique partnership. Our older people are living longer and the older population is growing. "The combination of these gives us the chance to look at the range of services we deliver to make sure that they meet the needs of local people. Also, looking at how older people can lead healthier and more active lives can make a real and lasting difference to people's lives. "This evening session is a chance for older people or anyone with an interest in services to be more involved in decisions about their services. This event is free and open to anyone who has an interest in older people's services.
