Smokers can get all the help they need to stub out their smoking habit. For, starting the day after bonfire night, a new smoking cessation group is starting up at Clarkston clinic. And smokers can join the seven weekly meetings which begin at 6.30pm on 6 November to work with other smokers and smoking cessation staff from the NHS to kick the habit once and for all. Health convener Councillor Douglas Yates, said: "The smoking cessation classes are an ideal way to kick the habit. You'll learn techniques to help you quit and you'll get support from people in the same boat as you trying to stub it out." If you'd like to attend or find out more about the help available to give up smoking, phone Agnes on 0141 300 1215. www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk |
