This year the Beerfest has an exciting new media partner in The Courier. The Courier has teamed up with the successful tri-partnership of The Anthony Nolan Trust, Dunfermline Rugby Club and Dunfermline Round Table and major sponsors D J Manning and D & G Autocare to ensure that the ever popular 2008 Beerfest is the most successful yet. Last year over 2000 revellers descended upon the Glen Pavilion over the two days of the Beerfest to sample exotic brews such as Witches Cauldron, Golden Newt and Hullabaloo. This year as well as old favourites like Schiehallion, Raven Ale and Bitter and Twisted there will be a huge selection of Scottish ales and the best of the brews from south of the border. As usual there will also be a wide selection of wine, continental bottled lager, ciders and perries; in all a choice to suit every palate. Entertainment will be of the usual high standard with our resident band the fabulous "Velour Amour" performing on both nights however Friday night will see the Beerfest debut of local rock cover band "Coconut Dog" fronted by Brian Headrick the past Dunfermline Round Table Chairman. On the Saturday night the ever popular "Shamanics" will "rock" the audience with their unique music. With snacks available on both nights and a tasting opportunity for £3.00 on the Saturday afternoon the Beerfest weekend is definitely an event not to be missed.
