Public Art Gathering - All Welcome Welcome to the new programme of Public Art Events (Happenings) in Abbeyview, Dunfermline, Scotland. The programme starts on the D5/D6 bus at 11am on the 29 July. These events are free to attend and participate in. We look forward to seeing you!
TWEED STREET TOUR 2 DATE: 29 JULY : 11am - 4pm LOCATION: D6/D5 Dunfermline circular Bus, from St James Street to Allan Crescent and back...IDEA: Nicola Atkinson Does Fly will ride the D6/D5 bus with music by Gerard Love from Teenage Fan Club entitled "all I have to do is sit and wait' This was composed for Abbeyview. The music is fifteen minutes - the time it takes to travel from Dunfermline Centre to Abbeyview by bus. PLEASE TAKE A SEAT - THE GRASS IS GREENER DATE: 2 August : 11am - 4pm LOCATION: Lynburn Corridor on Woodmill Road & Blacklaw Road Abbeyview Dunfermline, Fife.IDEA: Nicola has created four gold chairs. Bring your own chair from home to the Lynburn Corridor. To celebrate the summer, we can all sit together with delightful snacks from us. Also the artwork The Grass is Greener can be viewed on the two bridges that divide the park. ARTIST STAND DATE: 24 August: 11am - 4pmLOCATION: Abbeyview Park Festival, Allan Crescent and Duncan Crescent, Dunfermline, FifeIDEA: Nicola will be there to meet you and will be showing a selection of art forms created in Abbeyview since 2007. ART AS EVIDENCE DATE: 23 September: 2 - 4pm LOCATION: St Ninians Church Allan Crescent, Dunfermline, Fife - 01383 623187 IDEA: Book launch, and exhibition of the thousand knitted book covers. The St Ninians Congregation in Abbeyview have knitted the book covers, which were designed by Nicola using knitted squares and one coat button. Writings by Daniel Jewesbury, drawings by Carol Lambie & Nicola Atkinson Does Fly.
