Police appeal after cycle is stolen in Portsmouth - 11-10-2008

Police in Portsmouth appealing for information after a bike was stolen from outside of Trafalgar Halls on Middle Street, Portsmouth.

Between 7pm and 11pm on Tuesday, October 7, an 18-year-old student locked his bike up outside of the halls building.

When he went to leave a few hours later, he found that the bike had been stolen.

The bike is a custom built model which is worth around £600. It is tan with rust coloured forks, white handlebars, a chrome front wheel and black back wheel.

PC Dave Fairbrother said, "This is a very distinctive bike and would be very noticeable. It was a prized possession of the owner and we are keen to try and get it back as soon as possible. If anyone sees the bike or has seen or heard anything I would ask them to contact police."
