Police seek witnesses following burglary of One Stop store in Havant - 09-10-2008

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the One Stop store on Emsworth Road in Havant was burgled between 8pm and 9:45pm on Tuesday, October 7.

Just after 8pm two men entered the shop independently. While one of them distracted the store worker, the safe in the back office was broken into and £1500 in cash was taken.

The staff at the shop described the men as:
White
In their mid 30s
One wearing a blue jumper
The other wearing a black woollen hat and a black leather jacket

PC Martin Campbell said: "Although no assault took place this was a very upsetting incident for the staff, and police are keen to find these two men as quickly as possible.

"I am appealing to any customers who were at the shop around the time of the offence or who saw these men in the area to contact Havant police station."
