Police appeal after burglary at commercial premises in Portsmouth - 07-10-2008
|

Police in Portsmouth are investigating after a burglary on Admirals Industrial Estate in Portsmouth.
Between 7.20pm on Tuesday, September 30 and 9.30am on Wednesday, October 1, a commercial building had been broken into, and a large quantity of bronze aluminium metal components had been stolen.
The items taken looked similar to the photograph which police are releasing today as part of their appeal for information, and weighed around 200kg.
The value of the goods stolen is thought to be in excess of £50,000.
PC Alexander Jones said, "This was a very high value crime and we are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. It is very likely a vehicle was involved due to the total weight of the items stolen, and the items themselves are distinctive. Perhaps you saw a suspicious vehicle on the estate during the times stated, or have seen or heard of these types of items being offered for sale since then. If you think you can help please contact us as soon as possible." News Source: http://www.hampshire.police.uk/ |
