Police appeal after burglary in Southsea - 06-09-2008
|
Police are appealing for witnesses after a flat was broken into in Pelham Road, Southsea.
Between 9.30am and 5.40pm on Wednesday, September 3, a two bedroomed, ground floor flat was burgled while the 28-year-old owner was at work.
The woman came home to discover that the lock on the front door had been damaged as it was forced open.
The offender or offenders had taken a Sony Cybershot digital camera, a USB memory stick, an i-pod, two diamond and white gold necklaces and a Toshiba laptop. The laptop is of particular value as it contains personal photographs and coursework the owner had been doing.
PC Alexandra Saccoccio said, "I would appeal to anyone who heard anything during the day on Wednesday or saw anyone around the property to contact police. A substantial amount of items have been stolen from this woman's flat and it is important that we gain as much information as possible in order to identify the offender or offenders."
