Police in Portsmouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured when he was struck by a passing car in Velder Avenue, at the junction with Euston Road.
At around 6.50am on Friday, August 29, a 40-year-old man from Southsea attempted to cross the road when he was clipped by a car which was passing by.
The car was a silver Subaru Impreza, which did not stop.
The man who was hit suffered a broken leg during the incident, and has undergone surgery for his injury.
PC Paul Shutler, from Fratton police station, said, "I would appeal for anyone who may have seen this incident to contact us as soon as possible. We are looking to trace the driver of the car, who may not have realised what happened, any information you can give may be of use." News Source: http://www.hampshire.police.uk/ |
