NEW!
Animated Exeter are delighted to announce a brand new film competition category and an exciting new partnership.

IF YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE CLIMATE, THEN CHANGE....?
The Environment Agency, South West Climate Change Impacts Partnership (SWCCIP) & 20:20 Design Agency have teamed up with Animated Exeter and are challenging South West animators to create an imaginative and positive message to communicate ways of adapting to climate change.

The competition is for a 2-3 minute animated film to show how people, places or wildlife in the region will adapt positively to climate changes in the region.

Films selected will be eligible for the chance to win first prize of £1000 of equipment or software. The winning film will be screened as part of the Screen Out Loud programme at Animated Exeter 2009 and will also be promoted by the SWCCIP and the Environment Agency.

The competition is open to any over 18's from the South West region.

Richard Cresswell, south west Regional Director at the Environment Agency said: "It's inevitable that climate change is going to play a huge role in all our lives in the South West in the future. Along with our partners in the South West Climate Change Impacts Partnership, we're doing all we can to try and limit its adverse effects. However, as the region is likely to experience hotter, drier summers and warmer wetter winters as a result of climate change, there's nothing wrong with working out how organisations, businesses and individuals can adapt and even benefit from these changes. It'll be interesting to see what film makers in the South West come up with."

The deadline for entries for this category will be 16th December 2008 and the winner will be selected by a panel of judges made of from each of the partners.
