Exeter Chiefs Bare All For Good Cause. - 17-07-2008
|
Exeter Chiefs players have stepped up their pre-season training with the prospect of a photographer visiting Sandy Park to shoot them without their kit on.
This will be the second time (see left) the squad will have stripped off for a calendar to raise money for local charities.
Again, organised by the same group of Chiefs enthusiasts that devised the last calendar, with the backing of the club's main sponsor South West Communications Group, this 2009 version will raise money for three good causes: rugby charity Wooden Spoon and one of South West Communications Group's adopted charities, The Prince's Trust, and Exeter Chiefs' new community department.
The calendar will be shot by Hannah Pankhurst, from A Little Studio. It will be sold from various outlets including the Intersport Tony Pryce club shop on match days and their main shop in Exeter's city centre from October.
Exeter Chiefs' community development manager Tony Walker, who bared his behind for the last calendar, said: "Pre-season training has suddenly got serious with the news we are doing another calendar! The boys are more than willing to do their bit to support these good causes and we hope we can raise around £8,000 to equal the amount raised by the last calendar.
"There was a lot of good feedback and from the last calendar and people were asking when the next one would be available so keep an eye out on the website and the shops." |
