In Forfar, police are carrying out enquiries after a theft at Angus Council's ground maintenance depot in Queenswell Road. Sometime between 3pm on Friday (Aug 29) and 6.45am yesterday (Sep 2), a Tom Tom sat nav system and a silver Nokia mobile phone were stolen from a white Iveco box van. Elsewhere in Angus, thieves stole an eight-foot by four-foot trailer from Montrose's Castle Street, sometime between 5pm on Sunday (Aug 31) and 8am on Monday (Sep 1). The single-axle galvanised metal Ifor Williams trailer, which was fitted with 16-inch wheels, had been left on Castle Street, near to its junction with Balmain Street, when it was taken. Once again, anyone who was in the area and who saw or heard anything suspicious should call Tayside Police on 0845 600 5705. In Dundee, officers are seeking to trace a group of children who were seen running west on Victoria Road, moments after the living room window of a flat there was smashed. The flat is near to Nelson Street and Bonnybank Road. The householder - a woman in her 40s - was sitting at about 10pm last night (Sep. 2) when she heard the double glazed window break. Police are keen to trace the group who were seen running away, so if you were in the area at the time saw anything that could help enquiries, call 0845 600 5705. And finally to Coupar Angus, where a JVC CD car stereo was stolen from a car which was in a car park in Commercial Street. The burgundy-coloured Vauxhall Astra was broken into sometime between 8pm last night (Sep 2) and 6am this morning (Sep 3).
