Police in Perth are keen to trace a man who was seen acting suspiciously in Nimmo Avenue, around the time that a van was broken into on Tuesday evening. Sometime between 6.50pm and 7pm a Tom Tom satellite navigation system and an Olympus digital camera was stolen from a red Renault Master van in a public car park behind Nimmo Avenue. A man was seen acting suspiciously in the area and at the van. He was aged between 16 and 22-years-old was about five feet five to fives feet nine inches tall, slim and scruffy looking. At the time he wore a white and beige baseball cap and a blue or grey tracksuit, which had white stripes down the arms and legs. In Broughty Ferry, a Yamaha Aerox scooter was stolen from a driveway in Collingwood Crescent sometime between 9pm on Monday and 7.30am yesterday (Tues Aug 27). The black and green coloured bike has the registration number SP53 CVA. Taken with it was a pair of motorcycle gloves and a black motorcycle helmet. In Forfar, thieves targeted a white Iveco lorry, parked at a company yard in Orchardbank Industrial Estate earlier this week. Stolen from the lorry at LSR engineering, sometime between 6.30pm on Monday and 6.15 yesterday morning, was an Indigo-make sat nav and a Prosignal TV seven-inch monitor.
