Hancock has reinvented the Superhero and bought the saying into the 21st Century. Wil Smith plays the hero who is hated by the very people he serves as he causes more havoc than the villains he puts away.
He chooses to stay out of the public eye and enjoys just a little too much to drink and is obnoxious and doesn't give a damn what people think of him. That is until he saves the life of a PR Guy. A fantastic mixture of comedy, drama and even fun the kids will enjoy make Hancock a new breed of Superhero film.
Watchout for a twist in the plot that smacks you straight in the face and don't get up to leave the moment the film finishes as there is a little more during the end credits.
This is one Superhero film that I enjoyed so much that I can't wait to see if they do a follow up.
Definately a must see and a hidden gem of the Summer Blockbusters. |
