|
A 29-year-old woman arrested on Wednesday afternoon in connection with the fatal fire which happened on Saturday. 4 October, at Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne, was released on police bail until early December.
Following consultation with the CPS, Sussex Police's Major Crime Branch arrested the woman on suspicion of manslaughter and child neglect.
The cause of the fire, which led to the deaths of Lewis and Taylor Jenkins, is part of an ongoing investigation of this tragic incident, but at this stage it is not being treated as arson.
The post mortem revealed that Lewis and Taylor Jenkins, aged seven and five, had died following the inhalation of fire fumes. News Source: Sussex Police |
