Robbery and assault in Crawley - 30-08-2008

At sometime between midnight and 1.15am on Friday morning (29 August), a 21-year-old man was robbed and assaulted near the Crawley High Street junction with Haslett Avenue West and Peglar Way.

Police were this morning examining the scene, which is on a pedestrian area by the traffic lights. They are keen for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen or heard a scuffle taking place to contact Crawley CID on 01293 583823 quoting serial 86 of 29/08 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The victim was taken to the New East Surrey Hospital where he remained under observation on Friday morning.
