Eastbourne assailant - Police issue CDFit - 29-08-2008

Police have issued a CDFit of a man they are trying to trace after a woman was assaulted in Eastbourne in the early hours of Sunday 27 July.

At 3.15 that morning the 20 year old local woman was walking with a friend in Cambridge Road, Eastbourne, when she was approached by a man who carried out an indecent assault on her. The woman was not physically injured.

The man is described as aged 30 years 5'9" - 6' 0" tall of medium build. He was dark skinned and had a dark shadow as though he hadn't shaved. He had dark/black short hair in a cropped style and the same length all over.

Police are asking members of public to look closely at the CD Fit - did you see him earlier in the day, or perhaps in the time running up to when the woman was assaulted?
