Beachy Head body identified - 29-08-2008
|
The man who died after driving his Toyota Rav 4 over Beachy Head on Monday (25 August) has been identified as 77-year-old Geoffrey Monk from Banbury in Oxfordshire.
The identity of a second body that was being recovered when the Toyota went over the clifftop has not been established and police are appealing for anyone who might recognise the following description to contact them on 0845 60 70 999.
The body is that of a man aged 20-30 and between 5' 8" and 6' 0" tall. It is believed that he was washed up or drowned rather than having fallen from the cliff and he had been dead for some time. He was wearing size 7 white Fila trainers with velcro fasteners, dark (possibly navy blue or black) jeans and a navy blue zip up fleece with horizontal navy blue and white hooped sleeves and the word Ferre on the left breast. |
