Kings Road assault victim named - 29-08-2008

A 28 year old man from Portslade who died at the Hurstwood Park Neurological Hospital on Monday 25th August as a result of injuries sustained in an attack which took place on Sunday 17th August in Kings Road, Brighton has been named as Ovidiu Andrei Pop.

James Redmile-Gordon, 29, formerly of Hove and now of Russ Hill Farm, Charlwood, Horley, Surrey has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and remains remanded in custody until 14th November.

A post mortem examination has revealed that Mr Pop died as a result of serious head injuries.
