BBC CHILDREN IN NEED NOVEMBER 14 2008 - EVENT AT HOVE TOWN HALL
Bob Bruce, the Principal Solicitor at Brighton & Hove City Council, is promoting his usual Children in Need fundraiser at Hove Town Hall on the national appeal day, Friday November 14th. When in entertainment mode Bob is known as Captain Bob.
The event is on a bigger scale than usual and is being promoted in association with the City Council and Brighton's Finest.
Headlining will be 12 Stone Toddler, promoting their widely anticipated album, "Scheming", available digitally in November. Great support is on offer from the psyche rockers Turning Green, trash glam rockers Spiderbaby, melodic indie outfit The Astonishing and DJ Captain Bob.
Doors and the bar will open at 6.30. Bob's key objective is to raise as much money for Children in Need as possible and hopefully better the £1,000+ made by last year's event. Tickets go on sale shortly at £6 and will be available from the Brighton Centre and Hove Centre box offices, Rounder, Resident and the receptionists at Brighton Town Hall, Hove Town Hall and King's House.Local business are being invited to support the event, by displaying the eye-catching poster, purchasing tickets for staff, having fliers for customers to pick up, providing food or drink for the bands, donating raffle prizes or making cash donations.
