Let There Be Love - 5 - 30 August 2008
|
'Let There Be Love' by Kwame Kwei-Armah returns to The Tricycle Theatre running from Tuesday 5 August - Saturday 30 August 2008. The play is an immigrant's tale of beginnings, endings and Britishness, set against the music of Nat King Cole. When West Indian pensioner Alfred Morris is kicked out of his daughter's Croydon house he returns to his Willesden home and is given home help from a Polish cleaner. Eager to learn the ways of her new land, the cantankerous and xenophobic Alfred realises that he may indeed still have a role in life: he could teach Maria to be British - and if he succeeds, maybe she might help him in the most unexpected way!
The play features Sharon Duncan-Brewser, Lydia Leonard and Joseph Marcell.

Ticket prices range from £10.00 - £20.00 with special rates for groups and concessions.
