Do you employ a Deaf person/people and find communication difficult? Are you Deaf and have problem with communication at work? How do you overcome problems when meeting a Deaf / Hard of hearing person?

Why have Deaf Awareness?

Understanding how to communicate with anyone who has a hearing impairment will:-

Improve safety in the workplace
Improve the quality & efficiency of service
Enhance communication skills thus building confidence
Developing good working relationships with hearing impaired people

What will a training session provide?

Using a wide range of modern training methods & resource materials, the trainer will include:-

Recognising people with a hearing loss
Understanding different communication methods
Identifying the services & equipment available
Explaining causes and levels of hearing loss
Learning Deaf Alphabet & basic lipreading exercises


Training course can be provided on your own premises or at the Brighton Office. Courses can also be tailored to the specific needs of your organisation. Sessions can be arranged to suit your work schedule & availability of your staff.
