- Understand the definitions and scope of ’self-help’ popular psychology
- Appreciate the different political and philosophical forces at play in the formation and growth of the modern self-help movement
- Choose from the bewildering array of methodologies on offer and discover a self-help style that you will be able to use for your own personal development
