Titanic Festival

  Belfast is once again preparing to commemorate and remember the world's most famous ship, the Titanic.

The `Titanic Made in Belfast` festival starts on the 22^nd March and continues until the 29^th. The festival includes tours on land & sea, giving locals & tourists the chance to learn more about the famous ship. You can also experience how passengers would have travelled during the voyage  and also find out about the conditions & techniques used by the shipyard workers in the building of the ship.

On Tuesday 15 April (the 96th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic) -the Belfast Titanic Society will hold an annual ceremony commemorating everyone, and especially the local Belfast people, who lost their lives that cold April night.

This years event, while bigger than previous years, is likely to be dwarfed by the huge plans being put in place for the 100^th anniversary in 2012
