Eight cars damaged in Brighton Hill - 03-07-2008

Officers from the Brighton Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team are appealing for witnesses and information after eight cars were damaged over the past few days.

The incidents have taken place in Quilter Road, Copland Close, Chopin Road, Sullivan Road, Britten Road and Ravel Close. All involved vehicles having their tyres slashed.

In the majority of cases, the vehicles have been parked on the road and left unattended, however on a few occasions vehicles have been damaged while parked on driveways.

PSCO Karla Hammond said: "We are conducting extra patrols, particularly during the evening and anyone seen acting suspiciously or loitering will be stopped and spoken to.

"We'd also like to remind vehicle owners to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us."
