Police appeal for witnesses after assault in Basingstoke - 13-05-2008

Police in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in the town on Saturday, May 10.
At around 11.40pm two men, aged 18 and 19, were assaulted by a group of young men on the corner of Eastrop Lane and London Road.
One of the victims received minor head and facial injuries and was treated at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
Two of the men are described as white, aged between 16 and 20, 5ft 6in to 5ft 8ins, slim build and wearing tracksuits.
PC Sarah Stokes, of Basingstoke police station, said: "This was a serious incident and we are appealing to the public to help us with our investigation.
"These kinds of assaults are rare in Basingstoke and we would urge anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible." www.hampshire.police.uk |
