Cross Between Yellow Pages and a Newspaper

The CityLocal business directory and community guide is aiming to be a mixture of the yellow pages and a local newspaper.

Similar to yellow pages, people will be able to visit their local CityLocal business directory and carry out a search for a local business. Just like a local newspaper, people will be able to read the local news and search for property, cinema and local events.

Nazir Daud, director of CityLocal, is aiming to make CityLocal the number one local community website for the UK and Ireland.

He said "Everyday new people are becoming members and uploading their businesses onto our site. When our new site launches in August, it will be much more interactive and allow users to interact act more and add even more content. They will also be able to advertise jobs and cars for sale as well."

"Our aim is to collaborate with other local information providers and share their local information to our users. Our users will be able to interact even more with our new site then they can currently. Unlike most community websites where the local surfer only reads the local information and moves on, visitors to our new site, due to be launched soon, will be able to interact in a myriad of ways."

Unlike yellow pages, CityLocal is aiming to find a franchisee to manage each local business directory within an individual territory. To find out about their unique internet franchises, visit - www.citylocal.co.uk/businessfranchise/
