Nigel Slater Driving Instructor
Great value driving lessons for all ages from a fully qualified instructor in the safety of a dual controlled car.
Nigel Slater is a friendly, confident Driving Instructor with a sense of humour who will put you at ease the moment you get in the car for your first lesson. Based in Canterbury, Nigel has a wealth of experience teaching all ages to drive and getting people out on the road and enjoying their driving.
Nigel offers your first lesson free when booking 10 lessons or more. In addition he offers individual & intensive courses with discounts for block bookings. He will pick up pupils from home, work or college and offers professional quality teaching. He gives an initial assessment and also provides theory training & mock tests. Additionally he provides post test & motorway training.
Nigel qualified as a Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) in November 2006 after completing the rigorous 3 stage qualifying tests, theory, driving and instructional ability. He also worked as a trainee for two 6 month periods, gaining valuable experience in teaching people not only to drive and pass their test but to drive safely - for life.
In that period he has got over 150 candidates through their test with minimal faults. His pass rate of 52% is greater than the national average of less than 40% .
Nigel is Kent County Council registered for the discounted Pass Plus Scheme and many of his pupils have taken his advice and gone on to enjoy The Pass Plus post test training. A must for young and inexperienced drivers.

"I am very passionate about this industry and regularly check my own continuing professional development, (CPD) attending ADI meetings and training courses. I am Criminal Records Bureau checked as an ADI.

"Nigel Slater! What more can I say! This driving instructor is of the highest order! He certainly knows how to have a laugh! Personally I rate him higher than Lee Evans on terms with comedy! His slightly twisted sense of humour makes him a genius to learn with! Their is nobody else you should enjoy the experience of learning to drive with than Nigel Slater! He got me through the tough time of finding the biting point with ease and also gave me several tips to overcome the nerves I created when starting to drive! I had 20 lessons with him and I was able to take my test! I can not run out of praise for this man who is such a great man in and out of the car! He is not the kind of man who shouts at you and makes you uncomfortable, he makes sure you feel 110% and then takes the lesson from there. He will have you driving to and from several different places so you experience the dynamics of Kent while learning to drive in what I can honestly say, a car which I wouldn't mind buying myself. MS"
