Anrich Veterinary Hospital is one of the longest standing practices in Wigan. Established in 1967 by Mrs Holden, it was bought by Angela and Richard (hence Anrich) in 1981. As a true family business it grew in the following years to have four sites and service each corner of Wigan. In 1996, with the continued strive for better and better facilities and service to their clients, Anrich moved to purpose built premises in Caroline Street, in the town center. Adding a pet shop and grooming parlour, then subsequently a hydrotherapy centre, digital imaging and finally an MRI scanner, Anrich has reached the pinnacle of care and service to the pet owning community.

In 1988 the Anrich Practice applied for and passed the prestigious status of "Hospital Standard". This award is given by the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons after a thorough onsite inspection. On going inspections GUARANTEE the highest standards of care and equipment are available to Anrich's 18,000 customers. Today, Anrich is still the only practice in Wigan to have achieved the status of "Hospital Standards". In fact, only 94, that's less than 4%, of total UK veterinary practices, have achieved this high standard. But that's just the start of the story.
