Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance

The Air Ambulance Charitable Trust is a registered charity (no 1017501), and was first established in the early 1990's, well before the launch of the operations in 1994.

Costs

While the medical aircrew and most of the equipment on the Air Ambulance are provided by the Ambulance Services, all other costs, amounting to approximately £1,500,000 each year, have to be raised by public donations, and therefore it was imperative that a Charitable Trust be established at the outset.

Income

Income is derived from many sources. Both the general public and organisations donate generously to the appeal. There is a pool of dedicated volunteers who assist at events and organise fundraising functions. An Air Ambulance lottery was launched in December 1994 and has proved to be extremely successful, making a significant contribution each month. Air Ambulance merchandise and six charity shops also help ensure the service remains operational. We receive no assistance from local or central government.

Staff

Nineteen people are currently employed by the Charity. Working as a team, and co-ordinating the activities of the volunteers, they have proved extremely successful over recent years, continuing to raise the profile of the Charity and increasing average annual donations in excess of £1.5m.

Of course, there are many other competitions you can enter where you can win life-changing sums of money. But by joining our lottery your money guarantees changing someone's life when they need it most.

The lottery plays an important role in raising vital funds to keep the Air Ambulance flying; as it is one of the few regular sources of income the charity has and generates over £20,000 every month.

There is no limit to the number of entries you may have. So the more you have the better your chances of winning.

On joining you will receive a Certificate containing your unique pin number and a Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Lottery car sticker.
