St Andrews House Residential Care Home provides services to the elderly which are individually tailored to the needs of each and every resident. We are a small family-run enterprise caring for up to 24 residents with diverse needs. Being a small care home we can offer the attention to detail that you are certain to be looking for.

Set in its own grounds in the lovely Devon town of Ashburton, in the shadow of St Andrews Church, the care home is near (80 metres) the busy town centre. This promotes an active lifestyle for residents seeking extra services from the now thriving hub that Ashburton has recently become.

About Us

Our concept of care is to provide an environment & lifestyle that is as close to our clients' own home as possible. We therefore, try to be as 'un-institutionalised' as we can, our staff do not wear 'traditional' uniforms and the tempo and fabric of life at St. Andrews is relaxed and informal.

Residents may live the lives they wish to in freedom and on their own terms and are actively encouraged to pursue independence and autonomy. We see ourselves as a gateway to a challenging period in clients' lives and we support them to strive to achieve as much as they possibly can in the years spent with us.

There are a variety of daily activities provided and outings once a week. These activities are built around those things that clients enjoy doing but at the same time are designed to stimulate and promote thought, dexterity and mobility. In addition they are a great deal of fun!

We have comfortable 'homely' furniture and glorious grounds for our residents to relax in. We also actively encourage pets and have a smattering of other animals that live just beyond the fringes of the gardens. We would encourage prospective clients to come and see us and get a 'feel' for the home and the life that people live within the safe parameters of our care.
