Becky Hall is an experienced sports massage therapist, as well as being an osteopath, and has worked with elite athletes for nearly 10 years. Athletes, riders, rugby, football, lacrosse and hockey players have all been treated successfully.

Becky has treated at multi-discipline events such as the Commonwealth Games and the World Equestrian Games, in addition to the London Marathon, international lacrosse matches, and club football. She was also a member of the volunteer Sports Massage Team, supporting all the athletes in the Olympic Village, in Athens 2004.

Sports massage is vital to optimum preparation for training events and for recovery from training, races or matches when further performance is needed in a short space of time. Massage techniques, muscle energy, NMT and stretch are all incorporated in treatment.

Whilst the spine is important in the maintenance and treatment of disease, osteopathy is now much wider than the mere examination and treatment of bones.

Whilst any of the techniques in the osteopath's toolbox may be used for children, the most effective, whilst being the most subtle and gentle of techniques are those working with the ‘primary respiratory mechanism' (PRM) or ‘cranial' osteopathy. William Garner Sutherland discovered in the 1890s that the bones of the head moved in a rhythmic, self-regulating manner. He linked it to the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, which is a colourless fluid that surrounds, supports and cushions the brain and the spinal cord.

Cranial techniques are very suitable for everyone, and particularly newborn babies, young children, pregnant women, women who have passed the menopause, people in a lot of pain and cannot be moved, immediately after surgery, people with complicated medical histories, the elderly and the terminally ill.
