We perform songs by Scissor Sisters, The Pogues, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Mika, Oasis, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Depeche Mode, Gloria Gaynor, Stealer's Wheel, Ronan Keating, Frank Sinatra, Snow Patrol, Bill Haley, Kenny Rogers, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison - we dont care who it's by (apart from Cliff Richard) if its a great song and people would like to dance to it!
Sounds like all of the above due to the brilliance of Jonathan's organ and Mark's unbelievable mimicry!
About PLAYTIME:
The two members of PLAYTIME used to work together, then another colleague asked them to play at her wedding - and PLAYTIME was born! We each got a ten quid W.H.Smith voucher for that gig - we ended up doing three 45 minute sets in three different locations (in the garden as guests arrived, in the dining room whilst they ate, and a set during the disco - AND lugging all the gear around in between times!)
Mark and Jonathan have been gigging ever since 2000 (but never as cheaply as that first outing!) at weddings, parties, pubs, clubs, wherever a good fun small live band is required to play a range of songs in a variety of styles to suit all ages.
We will turn up anywhere and play - from the high street when they are turning on the christmas lights, to the lounge of the old peoples home! But we love the dance halls, parties, wedding receptions, pubs and clubs where people are able to get up and dance. We have even done a barmitzvah!
We have played on a regular basis at several local pubs; The Shoulder Of Mutton in Calverton; The Navigation in Cosgrove; The Crown in Ashton. Talk to the landlords there - maybe they'll give us a nice reference!!!!
