NLP in simple terms, is how the mind communicates with the body and visa versa.
The corner stone of our practice is the science and application of Clinical Advanced Hypnosis to help clients stop smoking and achieve easy weight loss. In the stop smoking arena we have already achieved a 95% success rate of clients ceasing to smoke after a one hour session - we are currently close to a 100% success rate, as we continue to improve our knowledge and skills in this area.
Alongside our practice to smoking cessation and weight loss, we are also able to alleviate anxiety and panic attacks, as well as remove phobias, such as: fear of heights, flying and water, amongst many others. Please see the pages under Phobias/Panic
Attacks to find out more.

STOP SMOKING:
There are many other sites on the internet that provide more graphic information and sometimes particularly horrific images
on the effects of smoking. Our aim is not to shock - in our experience, smokers will have had enough of other people and organisations trying to stop them smoking with shock tactics. We do not believe that shocking or scaring people into stopping smoking works. Many smokers just ignore the shock/scare
tactics (turn to the other channel if an ad appears on TV).
Alternatively when faced with scare tactics, smokers can smoke more and try to forget about it, or try to work out why, given
the evidence, that they are still smoking.
Here, we just skim the surface for information that we hope you find useful in making the decision to stop smoking.
Many smokers somehow know that if they were diagnosed with any conditions below, then of course they would stop smoking. Why
wait for the bad news?
The good news
Despite our extensive research we cannot find any good news in the continuation of smoking.
Surprisingly to some, smoking does not relax the body or the mind, or cure boredom. Smoking does not help you lose weight or
concentrate, or in fact, any of the other positive things that smokers can often believe (and as ex-smokers, we used to believe them all).
The good news is simply this: When you stop smoking the positive effects begin to take effect immediately and you will be living longer. As several research studies carried out over many years highlight, non smokers will live an additional 10 years longer than smokers. That is an incredible 3,650 additional days and nights to enjoy a fuller, happier, wealthier, healthier, cleaner, life - where you are in control and not being controlled by cigarettes.
As a non smoker you can concentrate on making further positive changes to your life, and not have to worry about how smoking
could be affecting you. Having stopped smoking, many clients report that their lives are transformed in many, many ways.
They have more energy, more money, are fitter, can breathe better, smell so much better, their skin improves, circulation
improves, are prouder and have higher self esteem, they spend more time with their children and families (in addition to the
time they spent smoking - they no longer wonder how long it is going to be before they have their next cigarette or will be
able to get away). The responses are always individual, which is why our successful sessions are tailored to each individual person.

The bad news
In a major study it is now proven that a smoker you will die 10 years before a non smoker (3,650 days and nights).
Smoking is the greatest single cause of ill health and premature death in the UK.
Smokers have a 1 in 2 risk of getting ill and dying early from smoking.
Smoking kills 120,000 people each year in the UK, compared to 5,000 in road accidents.
13 people die each hour because of smoking.
Over 80% of all lung cancer deaths are caused by smoking.
A 20 a day smoker spends £1,700.00 on smoking every year or, allowing for inflation, a massive £100,000. Whilst this is an
enormous amount of money, money is very rarely an issue, smokers will always find the money for smoking.
The diseases caused by smoking
There are many serious and fatal diseases caused by smoking. The most common of these are:
Coronary heart disease
Cancer of the lung
Chronic bronchitis
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Emphysema
Pneumonia
However, as smoking directly effects the lungs and then from there the blood stream, there is NOT one part of the body that
is safe from the negative effects of smoking.
The list of smoking-related diseases includes the following:
Heart and circulation
Heart attacks • Arteriosclerosis (this is the build-up of fatty deposits and loss of elasticity in the artery walls, which can lead to a range of diseases including strokes, peripheral vascular disease and gangrene, and aortic and other aneurysms)
• Buerger's disease - which can lead to gangrene and amputations.
Cancers
Lung • Mouth • Nose and thoat • Larynx • Oesophagus • Pancreas • Bladder • Stomach • Leukaemia • Kidney
Respiratory
Chronic bronchitis, Emphysema and other lung diseases • Recurrent infections in the airways • Damage and loss of efficiency
in the lungs
Others
Impotence • Peptic ulcers • Adverse effects on fertility
Smoking can also increase the incidence and severity of everyday complaints. Many people do not realise (or they ignore) that coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath, poor circulation, infertility or sexual dysfunction, can be caused by their smoking habit. Smokers either get used to, or ignore the early warning signs of something bad, almost believing they have a special gene that means IT will not happen to them!!!

How does hypnosis work for weight loss?
Just the word "diet" implies something you do temporarily. So, you diet AGAINST your normal patterns of behaviour which are part of your subconscious mind. You may lose a little weight temporarily, but because your subconscious mind likes to keep things consistent it will regulate your body to go back to what it was doing before the diet.
Your subconscious mind holds beliefs and habits - beliefs and habits that you may not even be aware of. These are what keeps
the weight on your body, that make you keep eating the type and quantity of food that you are used to. Your subconscious is not working against you, it just does whatever it is and has been programmed to do. In many cases it will have received poor programming from various sources.
Experiences picked up via the five senses (sound, sight, taste, touch, and smell) are programmed directly into the subconscious. Of course, your conscious habits pay an ever-increasing part, as do your emotions. The subconscious is much more powerful than the conscious mind so, no matter how hard you consciously try to break a habit, your subconsious will eventually win you over, causing you to return to what is considered "normal" for you.
This is definitely NOT because you are weak-willed by any means. It is simply the way our minds have evolved to function best
for us. Take driving, learning a new sport or even getting used to a new computer keyboard. At first it seems hard and difficult to co-ordinate, but after a while you realise that you can do it automatically, without consciously thinking about it. Eventually these things become programmes, hard-wired into your subconscious mind. This frees up your conscious mind to do other things - primarily to analyse, make decisions and learn new things.
Can you imagine if you had to rely on your conscious mind every time you need to remember how to drive your car, write a
sentence, type, read a book, speak, or play sports? Remember when you first learnt these things? They were completely conscious endeavours. Now that they have formed into existing behaviour patterns within your subconscious mind, they are resources you can draw on, without you having to think about them.
Now, imagine un-learning these things - trying to learn a new language and forget your native tongue, writing with your left hand if you're right-handed and vice versa. This is how hard it is to change your habits when it comes to food, weight, smoking, phobias, compulsions or anything that has become a habit. You are not weak or weak-willed. It's just the way your mind works and it's to your advantage that it works this way.
With your permission (and not without) we can utilise the many advantages of Advanced Hypnotherapy to communicate with your
subconscious mind directly. This will dramatically speed up the process of change by changing the relevant programmes in a
very positive way. Under the right conditions your subconscious mind will readily accept new information, having passed what
we call the critical factor, a stage during the process of Advanced Hypnosis. The whole process is safe, proven and controlled. You have nothing to loose but the weight you want to - it's that easy.
In order to make true, permanent changes in your life, it is necessary to bring your subconscious mind into agreement with
what you want to accomplish, rather than fighting and struggling against it. We bring the subconscious mind on side so that
you can make the changes you want easily. By using advanced hypnosis and NLP technology you will find yourself:
Wanting to eat the right kinds of foods
Wanting to drink more water
Wanting to exercise
Wanting to make all the changes that get you to your target weight and maintain it
Wanting to eat, drink and think like the thin person that you deserve to be
Take the weight off your mind and then your body - make an appointment now by calling

PHOBIAS AND PANIC ATTACKS:
What is a phobia? What is a panic attack? How we can help
A phobia is an anxiety disorder in which you feel intense fear of a particular object or situation, but know all the time that there is no real danger.
The dictionary definition of the word "Phobia" is "Fear" but, a better word could be "Avoidance", as most phobia sufferers
avoid the situations or objects which they fear.
A phobia is an excessive or unreasonable fear of an object, place or situation. Simple phobias are fears of specific things
such as insects, infections, flying. Agoraphobia is a fear of being in places where one feels "trapped" or unable to get help, such as in crowds, on a bus, or standing in a queue. A social phobia is a marked fear of social or performance situations.
Phobias are extremely common. Sometimes they start in childhood for no apparent reason; sometimes they emerge after a
traumatic event; and sometimes they develop from an attempt to make sense of an unexpected and intense anxiety or panic
(e.g. "I feel fearful, therefore I must be afraid of something").
When the phobic person actually encounters, or even anticipates being in the presence of the feared object or situation,
he/she experiences immediate anxiety. The physical symptoms of anxiety may include a racing heart, shortness of breath,
sweating, chest or abdominal discomfort, trembling, etc. and the emotional component involves an intense fear - of losing
control, embarrassing oneself, or passing out.
Commonly, people try to escape, and then to avoid the feared situation wherever possible. This may be fairly easy if the feared object is rarely encountered (e.g. fear of snakes) and avoidance will not therefore restrict the person's life very much. At other times (e.g. agoraphobia, social phobia) avoiding the feared situation limits their life severely. Escape and avoidance also make the feared object/situation more frightening.
With some phobias the person may have specific thoughts which attribute some threat to the feared situation. This is particularly true for social phobia where there is often a fear of being negatively evaluated by others, and for agoraphobia when there may be a fear of collapsing and dying with no one around to help, or of having a panic attack and making a fool of oneself in front of other people.
With some phobias, there may be accompanying frightening thoughts (this plane might crash; I'm trapped; I must get out).
However, with other phobias it is more difficult to identify any specific thoughts which could be associated with the anxiety (e.g. it is unlikely that a spider phobic is afraid of making a fool of themselves in front of the spider). With these phobias the cause seems to be explained more as a conditioned (learned) anxiety response which has become associated with the feared object.
Some phobias are more reasonably common: flying, heights, dogs; cats; birds; insects; lifts; needles; agoraphobia; but there
are dozens of less usual ones such as: fear of germs or dirt contamination; fear of choking; or fear of ordinary household items such as buttons or lights. Whatever the phobia, we normally eradicate or reduce the phobia to a minimum in just one session by utilising NLP and Advanced Hypnosis.
