Why is 7dayhandyman so much cheaper than other installation companies?

Specialist home cinema companies will charge over £200-£300 for an installation. These companies would probably rather be designing and installing a whole AV system for you; they aren't really geared up to just pop round for a couple of hours to fit your plasma screen. We are a handyman service. Hanging stuff on walls is what we do all the time. And our whole business is orientated around offering an efficient, value-for-money service to our customers.



Can a plasma screen be hung from a plasterboard wall?

Screens larger than about 42in may be too heavy to be fitted to a plasterboard wall, but please do call us first to check. Remember that even small flat screens, especially plasma screens, are heavy, though, so fixing of the screen brackets requires extreme care and the correct fixings, to ensure your screen stays on the wall! Definitely a job for the professional.


Do these prices include concealing the cables?


We can conceal your cables using surface-mounted conduit, but this obviously takes a little longer and would mean your installation costing a little more. If you'd like your cables hiding within the wall, that becomes a bigger job, and you would probably be best using a specialist home entertainment installation company.

At 7dayhandyman we are able to offer you 15 years of experience in the sanding of wooden floors for both domestic (living rooms, hallways, stairs, kitchens etc ) and commercial premises (church halls, schools, gymnasiums, shops etc.

Our service can include removal of carpets, gripper rods, even moving of furniture if required.

All loose boards are secured and any repair work carried out.
The first sanding is achieved using a coarse grit sanding belt to remove dirt and all scratches etc, and then continues until the floor is level and totally smooth.
Using the clean, fine sawdust from your floor we mix this with an epoxy resin to fill in the gaps between the boards. If gaps are wider than 5mm we use MDF strips to wedge into the gaps and then sand down again to level.
After sanding we use a buffing machine to remove any remaining marks or scratches. The floor is now ready for lacquering, oiling or staining.
Using the Bonna range of products we apply the first of three coats of varnish which is a water based, low odour and, slip resistant polyurethane finish with a drying time of approximately 1 hour.
Pricing
All of the packages include a three-grade sanding process followed by the application of three coats of top quality varnish, in either satin or matt finish, to seal the floor.
