Alison has been practising Hatha yoga since 2001 and Ashtanga Vinyasa since 2005. Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow form the main basis for her home practise as they emphasise the connection between breath and movement. These two components are essential to encourage the flow of prana, life\'s vital energy.

A regular at Tayside Yoga Association seminars, Alison believes strongly in continued professional development and has been fortunate to have attended Ashtanga workshops with Paul Dallaghan and John Scott, who are two of the world\'s leading Ashtanga teachers. Alison is continuing her anatomy training with David Keil, who applies anatomy directly to the practise of yoga, David is also an authorised Ashtanga teacher. Alison is continuing her training in Vinyasa Flow with Seane Corne in October 2007.

With two active boys aged two and five years old who enjoy practising yoga, Alison is pursuing specialist training with The Life Centre (Jo Manuel) \"Teaching Yoga to Children\". This course covers all aspects of teaching yoga to children from two to teens. Further details of classes to follow.
