The club was founded in 1975 and is the oldest Sunday amateur club in Scotland. It attained its name from the fact that most of the players and officials were DC Thomson workers based in Bank Street Dundee.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The original idea came from Ally Penman and Colly Bearn who asked John Brown to become manager.

The team entered the second division of Dundee Sunday welfare, gaining promotion in the first season also a cup final losing 6-5 to the then Sidlaw then the next season winning the first cup at Fairfield Park.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 3rd season saw us finish third in the first division and going down 3-2 in the rosebowl final to champions Taxis
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our forth season saw us crowned champions after a final day showdown with Lochee Hibs. We were also the first amateur club in Dundee to have a shirt sponsor (They were K Berry Carpets).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a club we only had 5 managers in 17 years: John Brown, Dave Melvin, Drew Don, Tommy Spzak and Henry Wilkinson. If it was not for the great work of these guys the club would not be here today.

Also a big mention must go to our last manager Jim Long who brought the club its most successful era. Jim left the club just a month ago and now we have a new young manager in Paul Marr. We hope to continue the Bank Street tradition in amateur football.
