Brian Bell Carpets is a flooring company based in the North of England. The company provides flooring services to the contract, business-to-business sector.

The company started as a sole trader business in 1982, providing flooring services to the retail market. By 1989 the business had grown to the extent that a sales person was required to increase the proportion of supply and fitting as previously the company had been a labour only business. The company brought in a partner to increase sales, during the same period; a retail outlet was opened on the high street. As the company entered the 1990's, the domestic market remained static and a decision was made to enter the contract flooring market. Penetration of the contract market continued to grow throughout the 1990's and into 2000.

In 2001 we also invested in a new warehouse facility located in the new Northminster Business Park near Poppleton, York. During 2002 the decision was made by Brian Bell to move the contract operation over to the new site.The company continued to occupy the high street premises up until August 2004; at this point the company moved the accounts, sales and marketing departments over to the warehouse as well.

As well as relocating to the business park the company left the retail market and started to concentrate on servicing the business-to-business market sector.
