The York Bed Company

We manufacture quality mattresses and divans, standard and non-standard sizes, using traditional, hand-made methods. We've been doing this for over 40 years.

Formerly known as York Bedding of Hungate.

Due to redevelopment of Hungate, the company has relocated to Acaster Malbis and changed the name to The York Bed Company.

Traditionally Made Beds

We make all our beds by hand, customers can choose from a large selection of fabrics, we also offer the service of making headboards in customers own fabric.

Made-To-Measure

Because all of our beds are hand-made, we can build beds to the shape and size you need - from cot beds to 7' 0" x 7' 0" (213cm x 213 cm) superkings.

We can meet most non-standard size requirements, such as Ikea, Habitat and European-sized beds.

We also specialise in mattresses for antique bed frames, we can build your mattress with a curved end and a base to fit exactly into your frame.
