Health and Well-being Event in Bilston North
Local Neighbourhood Partnership promotes health and well-being in
Bilston North.
A health and well-being event specifically aimed at residents living in
the Bilston North area who are 50+ will be taking place at the Willows
(Stowlawn Primary School), Green Park Avenue, Stowlawn, Bilston.
The event is on Wednesday 17th February from 11am to 3pm and will be a
drop in session where residents will be able to have checks on their
blood pressure, sugar levels, height and weight and carbon monoxide
levels. They will also be able to get health and well-being advice from
agencies such as; Fire Service, West Midlands Police, Wolverhampton
Homes and City Council officials. Local community groups will also be
on hand to inform people about the many social activities that are going
on in the Bilston area.
Councillor Phil Page, who is the chair of Bilston North Local
Neighbourhood Partnership said, "this is an excellent opportunity for
local residents to get health and well-being advice on their doorstep -
I'd definitely encourage people to attend".
Jo Mason, Neighbourhood Manager for Bilston North, agreed and added,
"this event will also give local people an opportunity to have a look at
the new Willows Development, which encompasses Stowlawn Primary and
Green Park Special Schools. This is a fantastic new building that not
only benefits pupils and staff, but also the wider community who will be
able to use the facilities for a range of activities including adult
learning, social events and community meetings".
