Roadworks report wk ending: 8th November 2009

New Works

 

A67 Thirsk Road

As a result of Service Stockton carrying out local safety works, the
slip roads at the A67 Thirsk Road junction of The Larun Beat and
Spitalfields will be closed from Monday, October 26. Traffic signals
will be set up in approximately two to three weeks when installing
traffic islands. Works are due to be complete by 20 November and will be
carried out during off peak hours (9:30am - 3:30pm).

A67 / Bridge Street, Yarm

As a result of SBC/Tarmac national Contracting carrying out essential
carriageway surfacing works, temporary two way traffic signals are
required on Yarm High Street/Bridge Street at Yarm along with the
temporary closure of Bridge Street Yarm. This will be required on the 1
November from 8am until 4pm. A signed diversion will be in place.

A1305 Riverside Road

As a result of overhead sign repairs works being carried out by Service
Stockton, a temporary lane closure is required on Riverside Road outside
Simon Bails Cars on Sunday, November 8 for one day only.

Blair Avenue, Ingleby Barwick

As a result of Groundwork's North East carrying out the installation of
a new drainage system, temporary traffic signals are required on Blair
Avenue/Barwick Lane to Cradoc Grove from Monday, November 2 all week at
off peak times.

Whitehouse Road, Billingham

As a result of Northumbrian Water Ltd/Lumsden and Carroll upgrading the
sewer system, stop and go boards will be required at times outside 19
Whitehouse Road, Billingham, from 2 November for two weeks at off peak
times.

C138 Redmarshall Road

As a result of Northumbrian Water Ltd/Fastflow installing a new water
main, temp traffic signals are required on C138 Redmarshall Road outside
Coalgarth House from Monday, November 2 all week at off peak times.

 

Greens Lane, Stockton

 

As a result of Northumbrian Water Ltd/Lumsden and Carroll upgrading the
sewer system, temporary traffic signals will be required at times near
to Greens Grove on Greens Lane Stockton from Monday, November 2 for two
weeks at off peak times.

 

The Causeway, Billingham

 

As a result of British Telecomm installing new ducting to replace a
damaged cable, lane closures are required over the weekend 31 October/1
November at the Causeway junction with Roseberry Road.

 

A19, Tees Viaduct

 

As a result of Autolink carrying out routine maintenance and patching
works, temporary closures are required on the A19 Tees Viaduct
northbound and southbound from Monday, November 2 to Friday, November 6
between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion will be in operation.

 

Continuing Works

 

NORTH MIDDLESBROUGH ACCESSIBILITY SCHEME

 

Although resurfacing works of the main carriageway of the A66 between
Newport Interchange and the A19 are now complete, works are still in
place to improve the drainage system on the westbound carriageway across
Newport Interchange. Two lanes should continue to be maintained
throughout the duration of this work.

 

The new traffic signals on Newport Roundabout are now operational,
improving safety for motorists and pedestrians alike. All road users are
asked to take care as they get used to the new layout and lane
designation at this junction.

A66 MAINTENANCE WORKS

 

Lane closures are necessary each Sunday at various locations on the A66
for detailed inspection works, gully cleaning, and repairs to street
lighting etc.

 

Maintenance works involving near-side lane closures are programmed on
Sunday, November 8 on the westbound main carriageway from Middlehaven
Interchange to Hartington Interchange entry slip, also Marton Road exit
and entry slips and Hartington entry slip.

 

William Street, Stockton

 

The temporary road closure of Williams Street from its junction with
Dovecot Street in a Southerly direction for approximately 40 metres has
been extended until 29 November 2009 or until works are completed,
whichever is the earlier.

 

Brunswick Street, Stockton

 

The temporary one way order on Brunswick Street (northbound only) from
its junction with Dovecot Street in a Southerly direction for
approximately 30 metres, has been extended until 24 December or until
works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

 

Oxbridge Lane / Oxbridge Avenue, Stockton

 

As a result of Northumbrian Water works for approximately five months,
temporary lane closures are required at various times on the Oxbridge
Lane/Oxbridge Avenue roundabout from Monday, August 17. The first lane
closure is programmed for 26 October for approximately two weeks.

 

A19

 

As a result of routine works being carried out by Autolink, temporary
lane one closures are required on the A19 north bound from 1km south of
the A689 from Monday, October 12 to Friday, December 11 between 8pm and
6am.

 

A135 Yarm Road

 

As a result of Direct Services carrying out alteration works, temporary
traffic signals may be required outside the entrance to Preston Park on
A135 Yarm Road (from Pennypot Lane to Chestnut Road) from Monday,
October 19 and are ongoing during the week commencing 2 November off
peak.

 

Surbiton Road

 

As a result of Service Stockton carrying out local safety scheme works,
temporary traffic signals or stop/go boards may be required on Surbiton
Road during the week commencing Monday, November 2 during off peak hours
(9:30am - 3:30pm).
