New Works

 

Roseberry Road, Billingham

 

As a result of United Utilities / Northern Gas Networks carrying out the
carriageway reinstatement following last weeks Emergency gas leak, a
temporary closure of Roseberry Road/The Causeway Roundabout is required
from 1pm Friday October 23 until Sunday October 25 or until works are
finished.

 

An alternative route for vehicles exiting Queensway and The Causeway is
via Kingsway and Pentland Avenue, Billingham.

 

Bus stop "Billingham, Roseberry Road, South" cannot be served by Compass
Royston 556, as previously, a notice will be installed in the bus stop
area prior to the closure commencing.

 

CLOSURE DETAILS

 

The Causeway/Roseberry Road, Billingham western roundabout circulatory
area.

 

Roseberry Road to vehicles travelling westerly towards Wolviston Road.

 

Kingsway to vehicles travelling northerly towards The Causeway/Roseberry
Road roundabout.

 

A1044 Low Lane / Thornaby Road

 

Care For Your Area have programmed urgent repair works for a collapsed
drain in the eastbound carriageway on A1044 Low Lane at it's junction
with Thornaby Road for the week commencing 26 October (half term).  The
works will involve the use of four stage temporary traffic signals.
Traffic management will be on site 24/7 with manual control of the
signals being used at peak times. 

 

Works are expected to take five days to complete.  Major delays are
expected and motorists should be advised to avoid the area if possible.

 

The Green, Norton

 

As a result of resurfacing works being carried out by Service Stockton,
temporary road closures are required at the Green, Norton on Saturday,
October 24 between 6pm and 10pm and Sunday, October 25 between 8am and
2pm.

 

The Green, Norton - Access road north/east of the Duck Pond between
B1274 and Mill Lane, for the full length of approximately 105 metres.

The Green, Norton - Access road in front of properties 10 - 58 The
Green, for the full length of approximately 80 metres.

 

Access for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles will be maintained
throughout the works.

 

Temporary two way traffic signals will be in operation at the junction
of The High Street/The Green whilst resurfacing works are undertaken.
Alternative routes will be available as follows, The Green (north
easterly, in front of 30 - 42 The Green), The Green (southerly in front
of 46 - 52 The Green) and Beaconsfield Road. Alternatively, diverted
traffic can follow the High Street, Norton, Billingham Road and
Beaconsfield Road.

 

In advance of the resurfacing works, temporary three way traffic lights
will also be required for one day during the week commencing the 19
October for Service Stockton to set the levels for the resurfacing
works.

 

A67 Urlay Nook Road, Eaglescliffe

As a result of SBC/Tarmac National Contracting carrying out essential
carriageway resurfacing, a temporary inside lane closure of the Durham
Lane/A67 Roundabout is required on Sunday October 25 from 8am to 4pm.

A67 / Bridge Street, Yarm

As a result of SBC/Tarmac national Contracting carrying out essential
carriageway surfacing works, temporary two way traffic signals are
required on Yarm High Street/Bridge Street at Yarm along with the
temporary closure of Bridge Street Yarm. This will be required over the
next two Sundays the October 25 and the 1 November from 8am until 4pm. A
signed diversion route will be in place.

C138 Redmarshall Road

As a result of SBC/Tarmac National Contracting carrying out essential
carriageway resurfacing, a temporary road closure of the C138
Redmarshall Road (Drovers Lane) from Teesside Model Flying Club to
Coalgarth House is required from Monday, October 26 for one week at off
peak times. A signed diversion route will be in operation at off peak
times.

Blair Avenue, Ingleby Barwick

As a result of Groundwork's North East carrying out the installation of
a new drainage system.  Temporary Traffic signals are required on Blair
Avenue, Barwick Lane to Cradoc Grove from Monday, October 26 all week at
off peak times.

 

A1305 North Shore Road

As a result of maintenance works being carried out by Service Stockton,
a lane closure is required on North Shore Road outside Simon Bails Cars
on Sunday, November 1 for one day only.

A66

As a result of Autolink carrying out routine works on the A66 East bound
from Teesside Park to the A19, lane one and two closures are required on
29 October from 8pm to 5am on 30 October.

 

Continuing Works

 

NORTH MIDDLESBROUGH ACCESSIBILITY SCHEME

 

Although resurfacing works of the main carriageway of the A66 between
Newport Interchange and the A19 are now complete, works are still in
place to improve the drainage system on the westbound carriageway across
Newport Interchange. Two lanes should continue to be maintained
throughout the duration of this work.

 

The new traffic signals on Newport Roundabout are now operational,
improving safety for motorists and pedestrians alike. All road users are
asked to take care as they get used to the new layout and lane
designation at this junction.

A66 MAINTENANCE WORKS

 

Lane closures are necessary each Sunday at various locations on the A66
for detailed inspection works, gully cleaning, and repairs to street
lighting etc.

Maintenance works involving an off-side lane closure are programmed on
Sunday, November 1 on the westbound main carriageway from Cannon Park
exit slip to the A19 Interchange.

 

William Street, Stockton

 

The temporary road closure of Williams Street from its junction with
Dovecot Street in a Southerly direction for approximately 40 metres has
been extended until 29 November or until works are completed, whichever
is the earlier.

 

Brunswick Street, Stockton

 

The temporary one way order on Brunswick Street (northbound only) from
its junction with Dovecot Street in a Southerly direction for
approximately 30 metres, has been extended until 24 December or until
works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

 

Oxbridge Lane / Oxbridge Avenue, Stockton

 

As a result of Northumbrian Water works for approximately five months,
temporary lane closures are required at various times on the Oxbridge
Lane/Oxbridge Avenue roundabout from Monday, August 17. The first lane
closure is programmed for 26 October for approximately two weeks.

 

A66 Viewley Hill Farm to Long Newton Interchange 12th 0ctober until 30th
October

 

Contractors working on behalf of the Highways Agency are carrying out
road resurfacing works on the A66 between Viewley Hill Farm and the Long
Newton Interchange. Works will commence 12 October until 30 October. The
eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed in turn and traffic
will be controlled by contra-flow during evening 7pm to 6am and 24 hour
weekend working.

 

Phased closures of the Long Newton and Eaglescliffe on/off slips, Sandy
Leas Lane and Back Lane (Elton) will take place and signed diversion
routes will be in place.

 

A 50mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the works.

 

A19

 

As a result of routine works being carried out by Autolink, temporary
lane one closures are required on the A19 north bound from 1km south of
the A689 from Monday, October 12 to Friday, December 11 between 8pm and
6am.

 

A135 Yarm Road

 

As a result of Direct Services carrying out alteration works, temporary
traffic signals are required outside the entrance to Preston Park on
A135 Yarm Road (from Pennypot Lane to Chestnut Road) from Monday October
19 and are ongoing during the week commencing 26 October off peak.
