SEVERAL Services of Remembrance will be taking place across Stockton Borough on Sunday, November 8, to remember those who gave their lives in both World Wars as well as more recent conflicts.
Stockton
The Parade will assemble in Yarm Lane at 10.25am and move off in time for a wreath-laying at the Cenotaph beside the Parish Church at 10.50am. Following this there will be a service in the Parish Church. After the service, the Parade will re-form and march down the High Street when the Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Paul Kirton, will take the Salute.
Thornaby
The Parade will assemble at Thornaby Ex-Servicemen's Club car park (Old Legion), Queen's Avenue, at 9.30am and march off at 9.45am for a service in St Luke's Church followed by a service at the Cenotaph, Acklam Road, at 11.00am. The Deputy Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Colin Leckonby will be attending.
Norton
A service will be held in St Joseph's RC Church, Norton commencing at 3.00pm.
Yarm
A service will be held in the Parish Church at Yarm at 9.30 am followed at 10.30am by a procession to the War Memorial for the wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial at 10.50am.
Billingham
The Parade will assemble on East Avenue, Billingham between 10.15am and 10.30am and move off for a Service of Remembrance at the Garden of Remembrance in Station Road, Billingham at 11.00am.
Egglescliffe
A service will be held at Egglescliffe Parish Church (St John the Baptist) at 10.00am processing to the War Memorial at 10.55am.
Port Clarence
The Parade will form up at the Clarences Enterprise Centre from 2.30pm followed by a service at the War Memorial, Port Clarence, at 3.00pm.
Preston-on-Tees
A service will be held at All Saints Church, Preston-on-Tees at 9.45am processing to the War Memorial for a short service at 10.55am.
Redmarshall
A service will be held at 10.30am at St Cuthbert's Church, Redmarshall.
Stillington
A service will be held at St John the Divine, Stillington, commencing at 10.30am followed by a Service of Remembrance at 12.00noon at the War Memorial.
Grindon (Thorpe Thewles)
A service at St James Church, Grindon commencing at 10.30am.
Wolviston
A service will be held at St Peter's Church, Wolviston commencing at 9.00am followed by a ceremony at the Cenotaph.
