UPDATE ON MISSING MAHMOOD AHMAD: FIFTH CHARGE
As inquiries continue into the disappearance of Mahmood Ahmad, a fifth man has been arrested and charged.
Amirzada Hussain, aged 36, from Churston Avenue in East London is charged with conspiracy to falsely imprison.
The following men have already been charged:
- Sharif Mohammed, aged 36, from Vista Drive in Ilford, is charged with false imprisonment.
- Mohammed Riaz is charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, harassment and dwelling burglary. He is aged 33 and of no fixed abode.
- A 17-year-old boy from London is charged with kidnap.
- Arnold Yousaf, aged 18, from Cann Hall Road in East London is charged with kidnap.
These four men have been remanded in custody until May 24.
Two men and two women have also been arrested in relation to the investigation and are currently on police bail while enquiries continue.
Mahmood was kidnapped on March 7 and his dismembered thumb was discovered on March 10 in the Ilford area. It is believed he was kidnapped from outside the family home on Radlett Road, Watford
Police continue to appeal for information about Mahmood's disappearance.
