DETECTIVES SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM PUBLIC TO HELP TRACE MISSING MAN
Detectivis are appealing for assistance from the public to help trace a missing man from Watford.
Mahmood Ahmad, 41, from Watford was last seen leaving his work place in London in the early hours of Sunday ( March 7th).
Mahmood works at the Lahore Kebab House on Umberston Street in Aldgate and left the premises shortly after midnight for his drive back to Watford.
Mahmood drives a black Citroen C2 registration number MW08 XSN, this car has now been recovered but detectives are particularly keen to trace its movements between midnight on March 7th until the present time.
It is also known that Mahmood has links to Ilford in London and the Glasgow and Stirling areas of Scotland.
Detectives and Mahmood's family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Detective Chief Inspector Melanie Burn, who is leading the investigation into Mahmood's disappearance, said: "This is totally out of character for Mahmood and both ourselves and Mahmood's family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare with every hour that passes.
"I would urge anyone with any information at all on Mahmood, his car or any sightings no matter how small or insignificant they may think it is, to contact police immediately.
"Have you seen Mahmood since the early hours of Sunday morning? Perhaps you saw his car in or around the Aldgate area or in Watford in the early hours of Sunday morning. If you have any information on Mahmood's whereabouts I would urge you to contact police immediately on 01707 355798 or alternatively Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111."
