Come along to the Pumpkin party of the year. Stalls and activities to involve the whole family, celebrating the very best of Autumn with food tastings, bbq, storytelling, 'Big Draw' art & crafts, stalls, facepainting and pumpkin games. Last year we had the new European champion pumpkin attend - this year we are hoping to see a serious contender for the world championship! The festival is both inside the chapel and outside on the grass and we will have two mobile libraries for storytelling activities. The chapel will feature autumnal flower arrangements. If you're a first time pumpkin grower please bring along your pride and joy. If you'd like to decorate a pumpkin bring it along on the day. Make a pumpkin fancy dress costume or autumnal hat and wear it on the day. Our Scarecrow Avenue was such a hit last year that we are encouraging even more friendly scarecrows along again this year to sit amongst the straw bales and sweetcorn. So have ago at making your own this year. Community groups and allotment asociations have stalls as well as crafts and other charity stalls. Arrive early and don't miss it.
